Aldous Huxley Journal

Words Like X-Rays

Welcome to the Aldous Huxley Journal: Words Like X-Rays. Inspired by Huxley’s Brave New World, this publication celebrates students’ engagement with literature, ideas, and critical writing. Just as words can “go through anything” like X-rays, these essays aim to probe deeply into texts, uncovering layers of meaning and sparking new insights.

Created by students of Hull’s School, Zürich, the journal showcases thoughtful responses to modern classics, including Huxley’s Brave New World and Orwell’s 1984. It reflects both the challenges and achievements of young writers exploring complex ideas, while also serving as a platform for their developing academic voices.
